The Russian government has enshrined a decision that will ensure stability in the pharmaceutical market for years to come. Mikhail Mishustin signed Resolution No. 2158, according to which:
The simplified registration of medicines has been extended until January 1, 2036. For medical devices, it extends until December 31, 2028.
This is a key measure to support the market in the face of sanctions, designed to prevent shortages and supply disruptions to pharmacies and medical institutions.
What does this mean?
– Rapid processing of documents for bringing products to market.
– Maintaining the availability of vital drugs and devices.
– Minimizing the risk of shortages.
This decision affects a special procedure in effect from 2020 and 2022. The specific list of drugs and devices covered by the simplified procedure will be determined by an interdepartmental commission with the participation of the Ministry of Health, Roszdravnadzor, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and other agencies.
